Our service connects those seeking to co-buy property within the 33 London Boroughs as well as along the Crossrail route.
The service provides the opportunity for individuals to join with others in order to help resolve the financial, logistical and risk requirements around property ownership.

2. What does co-buying mean?

Co-buying is an outcome where more than one person joins together in purchasing a single property under typically a tenants-in-common agreement.
The split of property title ownership will be mutually agreed between the co-buyers however the responsibility for the purchasing process will be shared equally with each other.

3. Is this a UK wide service? What areas are covered?

At the moment Property Buyers Match supports co-buying opportunities within the 33 London Boroughs as well as the Boroughs along the Crossrail route, currently under construction.

4. Are there fees to become a member of Property Buyers Match?

We are passionate about helping to remove the barriers around property ownership and one of those barriers is the amount of money it costs to buy a property. Therefore at the moment membership is free.

This includes:

  • REGISTER and creating your profile;
  • SEARCH for other matching co-buyers;
  • CHAT with other members using our instant messaging and internal email system; and
  • EXPLORE and share co-buying opportunities through our newsfeed.

5. Why is the service free?

We are passionate about helping to remove the barriers around property ownership and getting people together to co-buy in and around London.
We also recognise that this is a new concept and we want to encourage as many people as possible to explore rewarding co-buying opportunities.

6. How do I create my profile?

We make it really easy for you to create your own profile.

Register free and provide us with the relevant information about you and your property preferences. Simply follow the steps through the registration process.

Your profile will be created from the information you input.

7. How do I edit my profile?

We make it really easy for you to edit your profile.

You can do this from the 'my settings' drop-down menu on the top right-hand side of the screen and select 'edit profile'.

Don’t worry if some of the information you provide changes, you can edit your own profile at any time you wish.

8. How do I delete my profile?

We make it easy for you to delete your profile.

You can do this from the 'my settings' drop-down menu on the top right-hand side of the screen and select 'delete profile'.

Where you have not accessed your profile for a continuous 12-month period, since your last activity, we reserve the right to remove your profile from our database. This will ensure that we continue to provide up to date and relevant matches for all our members.

Should you wish to have your profile re-instated, we ask that you send this request through our contact us page.

9. How secure is my profile?

Your security is incredibly important to us. We have ensured that appropriate security and privacy processes are in place to safeguard your personal information. All the information contained in your profile will not be shared or exchanged with any other organisations.  We also have firewalls set up across all of our servers and our systems are monitored 24/7 for any compromises.

10. How does Property Buyers Match use my profile?

We match your profile against other members based on similar preferences.
These include your search areas, preferred property type, price range and number of bedrooms.

11. Can I search in multiple postcodes and areas?

The Quick Search function enables you to search for compatible co-buyers by entering either up to three Postcodes or up to three location areas, by name.

Your search results will include all the compatible member matches within the corresponding Borough for the postcode(s) or area(s) requested.

12. How do I communicate with other members through Property Buyers Match?

Property Buyers Match provides members with two communication options.
Firstly, we provide members with an instant messaging service which enables online members to exchange messages with other members in real time.
Secondly, if a member is not presently online, we have an email messaging system enabling you to contact them.
Your personal email address is never disclosed using these services.

13. Is it possible to explore a number of co-buying opportunities in different areas?

Yes. We encourage you to explore a number of options. This may include receiving matches from different co-buyers across a number of postcodes or areas you have selected. You then have the opportunity to chat and explore the different options with each of the selected co-buyers.

14. Can I team up with more than one other member to co-buy a property?

Yes. We ask members to specify on their profile the number of others they are willing to co-buy with. Multiple match results can be followed up separately as well as determining whether an extended chat across a number of matching members is also appropriate.
Discuss these options with your matches in order to establish the best co-buying outcome for you.

15. Does Property Buyers Match maintain affiliations with other property buying professional services (e.g. estate agents, solicitors, mortgage brokers, mortgage lenders)?

Ours is a service which connects those seeking to co-buy property within the 33 London Boroughs and along the Crossrail route.
We encourage members to seek appropriately qualified advice across all areas of property purchase and ownership.
Direct access to qualified property professional advice is not part of our service.

16. How do I report a concern to Property Buyers Match?

Members can contact us with any concerns or questions through our email link or through the contact us page. Although we are not able to answer all emails directly we nevertheless take all feedback and concerns very seriously. Access to a secure and trusted service is our primary concern.

We reserve the right to remove members where their information, site activity or conduct is considered inappropriate.
